Terms of Service
last updated · 17 June 2026
This is a working draft. It will be reviewed before any paid feature goes live. It is not yet legal advice.
By using Rungroove you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
Rungroove helps you assemble running playlists from a catalog of songs indexed by verified tempo and intensity, and link them to a streaming service you already use. It is a metadata and organization tool. It does not host, stream, or sell music. Playback happens on your streaming service under that service’s own terms.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up. You may close your account at any time from inside the app.
Acceptable use
Use Rungroove for personal, non-commercial running playlists. Do not attempt to scrape the catalog in bulk, resell access, reverse-engineer the app, or interfere with its operation or other people’s use of it.
Purchases
Most of Rungroove is free. Some power-user features may be offered as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Purchases are processed by the app store you bought through (Apple or Google), and their refund policies apply. Any refund beyond those policies is at my discretion.
Third-party services
Rungroove relies on services such as Spotify and your device’s app store. Their terms govern your use of them. Rungroove is not responsible for changes those services make, including changes that affect features like playlist export.
Disclaimer and liability
Rungroove is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Tempo and intensity values are verified with care but are not guaranteed to be error-free. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Running carries inherent physical risk; how hard you run is your decision, not the app’s.
Termination
I may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
These terms may change. Material changes will be posted here with a new date above; continued use after a change means you accept it.
